This is something I noticed recently and thought I would post it just as a matter of interest for all of you who like to 
play around with numbers.
The Megabucks lottery in Oregan uses a play matrix of 6/48 and pays down four prize divisions,on the 24th August the draw came up with 27,44,45,46,47 and 48! There was no lucky jackpot winner that day.
Now what are the chances of that?
We all know EuroMillions is on a roll over for the next draw this Friday, 4th September with a jackpot of €28 million so 
I thought we could have some fun and take a look at some of the statistics and who knows they might even help you to pick those all important numbers.
To play EuroMillions you have to match five numbers drawn from a pool of fifty from the main drum, the most OFTEN drawn numbers are 50, 37, 19, 21 and 14.
The numbers that have been drawn the LEAST are 46, 28, 39, 43 and 32.
As well as the main drum you also have to match two lucky stars to win the jackpot, these are drawn from a drum of nine. The stats for the lucky stars are, MOST drawn 5 and 6, LEAST drawn 4 and 2.
So there you have it, all you have to do now is decide whether it is time for the most popular numbers to come out or is it time for the least?

Ok own up ! Who won?
The Mega Millions jackpot of US$333 million was won last night and first reports indicate that the jackpot was shared by two tickets, both worth around US$166.5 million each.
The tickets were bought in San Gabriel California and the Bronx New York, the winning numbers were 1, 17, 31, 37, 54 and the Mega Ball was 31.
Oh well, another one bites the dust so as they say and we still have Euromillions rolling over, €28 million jackpot for the next drawing on the 4th September Way Hay!

Soloman Jackson Jr is a retired South Carolina State employee, he is married and has ten siblings, although he wont say how many children he has himself.
He retired in 2000 and has since been using his free time to get a degree, he spent just $2 on his tickets, and says the win will not change him.

The lottery world has been talking about the SuperEnalotto jackpot for weeks, but last night on the 22nd August some lucky person became €147 million richer.
Reports just in are that the ticket was sold to a 47 year old man from a small town in Italy, Bagnone which has just 2000 residents. The local man works in agriculture but will now be known as the person who won the largest lottery jackpot in the world given out to just one person.
With the Powerball having been won this week the Italian SuperEnalotto lottery takes the title of the worlds biggest 
jackpot at this moment in time.
Despite three weekly draws SuperEnalotto has been unable to find a jackpot winner since January, and for the next draw on the 22nd August the jackpot stands at €146,900,000. Rememeber that this will be paid in cash to the lucky winner, no installments or tax to pay here, I keep saying it and will say it again, it has got to be won at some stage!
