So… did you see it?
Derren Brown as promised he would, correctly predicted the UK Lotto numbers live on TV.
Channel four screened the stunt across all it’s channels as viewers tuned in to to see how events would unfold. Brown was silent as the lottery numbers were drawn whereby previously he had acted rather nervous apologising in case the stunt went wrong.
After the draw he held up a card with the correct numbers written on it and then turned over his row of balls which also had the correct numbers! He said it had taken a year of his life to acheive this and couldn’t believe it. Lottery officials say that 70% of the population tuned in to watch and try and work out how Derren could possibly predict the numbers but they were also quick to remind us that Derren is an illusionist and that is what is is doing, creating an illusion that he can predict the numbers.
All will be revealed on Friday when Brown will be back on our screens to tell us how he did it, unless of course you already know?
Camelot have been waiting for 6 months for someone somewhere to come forward and claim the £2.5 million National
Lottery jackpot prize from the draw on the 11th March 2009.
Camelot put out an appeal for people to check their tickets saying that the winning ticket had been bought in the Worcester area, the numbers were 6,9, 20, 21,31, 34.
With just days to go before the prize was considered void that someone has now come forward to claim the life changing sum of money, but the identity of that person has not yet been revealed.
Camelot are saying they are thrilled that the winner has been found and reminds people to always check their numbers, once the closing date has gone it has gone.
No worries on that score with Lottosgalore however, the Lotter check your tickets for you and if you are a winner they will contact you!

The new lotto iPhone application is completely free to download, it dosen’t take up a lot of space and allows you to get
all the latest results, numbers and dates for six games from the UK National lottery from the past six months.
I haven’t got an iPhone so I got my hubby to download it and it is a great little application, it is very easy to use, you don’t have to open an account, just download and it is all there at the touch of a button.
If you have an iPhone and are a keen lottery player then this has got to be a must, you will never lose track of your favourite games such as Lotto, Dream Number, Daily Play and Hotpicks.
The only down side as far as I can see is that you can’t buy tickets, but never mind you can always come back to lottosgalore for that!
Derren Brown is well known for his mind reading skills or depending what you believe, tricks? and is about to go one
step further by predicting the numbers for the lotto on Wednesday evening!
Live on air, Derren proposes to tell us the viewers how to do it, he is going to be filmed at a secret location and will predict the numbers before they are drawn. However don’t get to excited he will only be revealing the numbers for the draw once it is to late to buy a ticket!
So confident is Derren that he can do this he has persuaded channel 4 to screen the stunt on all it’s channels including FilmFour and MoreFour.
If Derren manages to convince you on Wednesday, you can then tune in on Friday when he will apparently give you hints and tips on how to do this yourself.
It is certainly going to be entertaining stuff, a trick no doubt but certainly one to watch just for entertainment value or maybe just maybe it’s for real!
The Italian SuperEnalotto lottery quite often hits the headlines and now we have another lottery from Italy that has grabbed the attention of the media.
A chain of supermarkets in Varese Northern Italy have come up with a novel idea of recruiting new staff, during this month they are giving away lottery tickets to customers who spend 28 euros or more and the prize for winning this lottery is a job in the shop!
There are ten jobs available to those lucky (or unlucky) winners who are aged 18 or over and are resident in Italy,
700,000 tickets are expected to be given out in the course of the next month.
No prizes here for guessing which Italian lottery I would prefer to win

We watched Mega Millions build and build until on 28th August drawing the $333 million jackpot was won, two tickets matched all numbers and the majority of us sighed as we realised it was not our time.
No so for a Southern California man, Kevyn Ogawa he beat the odds of 1 in 176 million when the numbers 37, 1, 17, 31, 54 and Mega Ball 31 were drawn.
Ogawa is lying low after coming forward to claim his share of the prize which amounts to around $107 million in cash, prefering not to be interviewed but the restaurant where he bought the ticket are celebrating after learning that the buisness is going to get a windfall of $832.500 for selling the winning ticket.
People are now flocking to the lucky shop but are more interested in buying lottery tickets than looking at the menu!
Mega Millions is next drawn on 8th September with a jackpot of US$18 million, click here to play
UK lottery organiser, Camelot unveiled two lots of lottery news this week, the first is that ticket prices for the UK
EuroMillions game are going up 50p to make it £2 a ticket to enter and the second is the announcement of a new game they are calling Millionaire Raffle, overseas players will be given the option of paying extra to take part in the new game.
Camelot say they are responding to public opinion that says more big winners are wanted and the new game will do just that, creating a guaranteed millionaire every week and that is as well as the normal EuroMillions draw. The raffle will work along side the normal draw, so for every line you purchase you will be given a raffle entry, three letters and six numbers will be printed on your ticket, match them and you will be a millionaire.
The first double draw is going to take place on Friday 13th November so watch out for the advertising campaigns that are about to enter our lives. Camelot feel that this is the way forward, they say that lottery fans will be getting the best of both worlds but what do you think? Do you think £2 is to much to pay for a lottery ticket or do you think it is one of the best value draws around?
Get set, GO get your tickets for the EuroMillions lottery now!
You only have a day left before the rollover draw on the 4th September to be in with a chance of winning the jackpot of €28 million.
Not the easiest lottery to win with a chance of 1 in 76 million of hitting the jackpot but the overall chances of winning a prize come in at a nice 1 in 24. On the last prize division all you have to do is match one number from the main drum and then the two lucky stars drawn from the lucky stars drum .
Euromillions have also come up with a new game that will give you even more chances to win, it hasn’t started yet and I will tell you all about it tomorrow, I can only cope with some much excitement in one day!
Good Luck with which ever lottery you choose!
Callie Rogers was just sixteen years of age when she won £1.9 million on the UK National Lottery six years ago but
she has recently been talking about the sheer misery that the windfall brought her.
Callie soon got into taking coke after winning and revealed that both her and her then partner became addicted and believes she has spent around £1/4 million just on feeding the habit alone.
Fast cars, holidays, clothes, two boob jobs are just some of the things Callie spent her money on, she now has just £20,000 left but is determined to get her life back on track.
Callie was a £3.60 per hour shop assistant when she won and believes she was way to young to cope with all the pressure of having that much money in the bank and the media interest that was shown of her life. There are calls to change the minimum age to play the National Lottery form 16 to 18, what do you think?
