Lottery Scams

November 30th, 2009 Viv No comments

There is plenty in the news about recent lottery scams which has conned and cost hundreds of thousands of British peoplethelotter_logo an estimated £260 million in all.

Apparently the problem is getting worse with the average victim being £1,900 out of pocket and hardly any of them bothering to report it to the authorities.

The general rule of thumb is that if it seems to good to be true then it probably is, don’t fall for any emails, telephone calls or letters telling you you have won a prize and never send money upfront. If you havent bought a ticket then it is most likely to be a scam so beware!

Each year 140,000 people get conned into believing they have won so don’t be one of them, play the lottery of course and have some fun doing it and if you want to play online then play somewhere reputable like The Lotter where you can play lotteries from all around the world and be safe in the knowledge that it is not a scam.468_60_2 general 1 +1
