About Irish Lotto
The Irish lotto began it’s life in 1987, it is run by a subsidiary of Irelands postal service, An Post. The Irish lotto takes great pride in raising mega amounts of money for good causes from the revenue generated from the sale of tickets. Very popular with it’s own countrymen with reports that two thirds of the Irish population all take part on a regular basis.
There are quite a few spin off games available but the original traditional Irish lotto remains the most popular, a nice touch is that sometimes, usually at special times of the year they incorporate other prizes such as cars and holidays etc and at Christmas time they have been known to add some extra money to the jackpot.
