About Japan Jumbo

The year end Japan Jumbo is the biggest and the best of the Japanese lotteries infact it is the second largest lottery in the world after the Spanish El Gordo.

Japan loves it’s lotteries but this has not always been the case, the first known lottery was way back in the 1600′s but all forms of lottery were banned in 1842 and it remained that way until 1945 when the lottery was reintroduced and proceeds were used to help build the country back up.

The Japan Jumbo is very generous offering a grand total of 74 1st prizes worth US$1.7 million each, 296  2nd prizes of US$854,000 each, lower division prizes amounting to US$518million giving a massive 82 million people a prize, now thats what I call a lottery!
