Odds and Overview

To win the jackpot you have to match all the numbers from the balls numbered 1 to 56 and also the Mega Ball which is gold and the chances of doing this come in at 1 in 1.175 million. The odds of course tumble down and at the last level your chances are a realistic 1 in 75.  This is actually better than the Powerball so if you are torn between the two perhaps that will sway your choice.

Big Winners

The biggest jackpot ever given away in North America came from Mega Millions, it was $390 million but two poor people had to share it! There has been other jackpots in excess of $300 million with the largest single ticket holder recieving $315 million.
