One of the oldest and most well known lotteries in the world is the New York Lotto, it started  back in 1967 and has remained a firm favourite boasting higher sales than any of it’s younger counterparts.

Odds and Overview

The New York lottery uses a 6/59 matrix and goes down five levels, both the first and second levels roll over for the next draw if not won. Your chances of winning the jackpot are around 1 in 45 million which compared to other American lotteries is quite good infact the chances of winning a prize at the last pay out level is a great 1 in 96 which won’t be life changing we know but you my be able to treat your self to your next lotto tickets for another go!

The biggest jackpot given away was in 1984 when four ticket holders got a share in $22.1 million and the biggest single ticket given away was $26.9 million in 1989.
